Joshua Jones is an image-maker based in Cornwall, currently studying Illustration at
Falmouth University (2023–2026).
With a background shaped by travel, life working aboard, and 13 years as a joiner,
making has always been central to his practice. This hands-on experience informs
an approach rooted in craft, process, and careful observation.
Growing up in Cornwall, Joshua has long been surrounded by dramatic landscapes
and the constant presence of nature. These environments continue to shape and
influence his work.
Working primarily across drawing and printmaking, his practice explores fleeting
moments within the natural world, capturing details that are often overlooked or
quickly passed by. By isolating and expanding these fragments, he creates images
that invite stillness, immersion, and closer attention.
